I was there the day that the last remnant of Monkey Island disappeared into the north sea,being a young lad watching the workers as they laid the foundation of the new Scalby Mills,even at that age wodering what histories had just been washed away.
Thanks Louis! Great to hear from someone who witnessed the transformation of the site. It’s amazing how different the area looked before and after the redevelopment…
Kinderland in Scarborough is the best holiday memory of my daughter’s childhood remembering the play fountains and zip wire most of all .Perhaps the entry fee was to low,we would willingly have paid more to keep it open ,my granddaughter would just love it now
